Formula Schools is a competition which many different schools participate in. The aim of the competition is to create your own control racing car. Some schools have to make two or maybe even three as everyone are always so eager to join.

When the racing day arrives, pupils and their Formula Schools leader travel to Silverstone. Silverstone is a large racing track where many racing cars are tested and raced.

Each school is separated into two different teams, the Methanol teams (YR8) and the Electric teams (YR7).

The Electric team are in charge of the making of the chosen vehicle. Fulbrook Middle School, and most probably lots of other competing schools, has the same situation of too many students being so excited to leap for the great opportunity! Furthermore, the original Electric team has been split in two. So, two cars have been chosen and we are proud to introduce to you... the MUSTANG and the LAMBORGHINI teams! The Electric team have worked super hard to find body shells and create a polystyrene example of the real car.

The Methanol (petrol) team are, of course, in charge of the petrol side of things! They are also in charge of creating a six wheel drive racer. They organise a petrol car to race. The Methanol team have decided and this year has chosen a past formula 1 car to race! The petrol team have also created a website. The web address is: www.fmsracing.co.uk/pages/team.htm/
